The Water Taxis of Rotterdam.
If you visit Rotterdam for up to 3 days, I recommend you buy the Rotterdam Welcome Card. It is a card like the one that exists in so many other important European cities, which allows you to travel by RET metro, tram and bus unlimited for 1, 2 or 3 days (9, 12 or 15 Euros respectively). It is also accompanied by an explanatory booklet in which you will find discounts for restaurants, museums and tourist attractions (with a minimum of 25% discount).
Metro and Tram.
The subway is ideal to move quickly through the city center. The frequency of trains is typical of large capitals and has a fairly modern fleet, 5 lines and 62 stations.
The cheapest ticket costs 3.50 Euros. Very expensive if you do not have the OV-chipkaart -which is attached to the Welcome Card- or a chipkaart rechargeable so you will significantly reduce the price of the ticket.
The tram has benefits as good as the subway, although some of the services overlap with it.
