I, like Sergi, began my return to the World for New Delhi. The impact is tremendous: smells, chaos, heat, dirt on the streets and in the air ... Everything is so different! In the taxi transfer from the airport to a hotel that the taxi driver knew (we didn't have a reservation for the first night) Rober and I looked at each other thinking it was our last trip by car. We left alive, but we repeated similar experiences with rickshaws and other taxis and even public buses.
Transportation is chaotic in the capital of India.
Maybe that's why the plans to build last week were approved 3 different lines of monorail which will be 45 kilometers of track. The authorities have pledged to have it operational in 2010. The truth is that, having seen how public officials work in Delhi, it seems a somewhat unattainable date. Even so, I hope that the chaotic city is fulfilled and decongestated a bit.
