Without a doubt, the best option to get around and see the ride is with the subway or on foot. In addition, during the hours of the event, the attention staff will be reinforced and the tour passes mostly through areas with metro stops.
Alternative horseback riding to Barcelona
In addition to the main parade in Barcelona, other neighborhoods will also have their own party to receive and welcome the Magi on this special day. Among them are those that run through the districts of Sant Andreu, Horta, Les Cortes, Sant Martí, Sants or Sarrià. Also, in the main cities of the metropolitan area of Barcelona they will have their own celebration of Kings such as Badalona, Hospitalet, Sant Adrià del Besós or Santa Coloma de Gramanet.
Origin of the Three Kings Cavalcade
The feast of the Magi is celebrated on January 6, date on which it is assumed that some wise astrologers from the East came to Bethlehem to worship the baby Jesus and make their offerings of gold, frankincense and myrrh. It is for this reason that the main ingredient of this celebration is the gift.
The first horse rides in Barcelona date from the end of the 18th century and have been carried out intermittently until today.
