Priego de Córdoba is also known as the “water city“ by the amount of springs that flow around it. The spring water feeds a green landscape where hiking enthusiasts will find a good number of routes to take.

Under the denomination of Natural Park of the Subbetic Mountains there is a space protected by the Junta de Andalucía since 1988, of great ecological and landscape wealth, with an area exceeding 3 hectares and distributed among eight municipalities of the Commonwealth: Luque, Priego de Córdoba, Rute, Zuheros, Goat, Carcabuey, Doña Mencía and Iznájar.
