The first day in Danau Toba No day for much. I wanted to relax so I took it easy walking around the lake, swimming, chatting and having a few beers with other travelers who were staying in the same guesthouse.

During the second day I rented a motorcycle with some girls from Zaragoza. We bargained in a couple of places and we got 60,000 rupees each with a full gas tank. The initial price was 70,000.

The roads that line the island of Samosir are calm and easy to drive. We border the island contemplating the beautiful Batak houses and the great views of Lake Toba and the surrounding mountains.

We go to some terminal waters (Hot Springs) but it was a disappointment. Just a couple of artificial pools; one for men and one for women along a hillside eroded by the river of sulfur that runs through it.

We take the opportunity to eat at a place near the hot springs and continue the path towards Tele. A viewpoint at the top of the mountain from where you have views of the entire island of Samosir. Unfortunately we could not arrive. We had to return the bikes at five in the afternoon and seeing the endless zigzag that the road made on the mountain we gave up the idea.
