A sunny day in Ireland is something that is much more appreciated than anywhere else in the world. The intense green color of the lawn and the crystalline waters illuminated by the sun offer landscapes of tremendous beauty.

The Carrick a rede suspension bridge is located in Antrim, at the apex of Northern Ireland, a few kilometers from the Giant's Causeway and the Bushmills whiskey distilleries. The place offers fun, cliffs, sandy beaches and even views of Scotland.

It is a place that tourists tend to pass in the direction of the giant's famous road. It is really worth stopping along the way and crossing this suspension bridge to reach this island where salmon was formerly fished.

Today, the bridge is built with wood and rope and does not represent any danger. The old bridge that still stood during the 1990s was scary just to see it!

From Belfast there are tours that make the entire Antrim route (Giant's Causeway, Bushmills distilleries, Carrick a rede and the coastal towns north of Belfast) on the same day for about 20 euros. At the reception of hotels and hostels they will offer you more information.

If you go by car, you have a beautiful day ahead enjoying one of the most beautiful coasts in Europe. Especially if you enjoy a sunny summer day!
